GENERAL RULES
 
1.01 - Random Vehicle Death match (RVDM)
You shall not commit Random Vehicle Death Match
 
1.02 - Random Death match (RDM)
You shall not commit Random Death Match
 
1.03 - Valuing your life
You shall value your character's life and freedom, therefore you shall not commit any of the following acts.
You shall not:
- Try to bait cops into chasing you, risking your character’s freedom.
- Start a shootout with a police officer over a minor offense like a traffic ticket.
- Commit a crime in eyesight of a government employee.
- Try to stab/punch someone who is holding a gun to your head from a reasonable distance.
- Run away from someone with a firearm pointed at you if there is no reasonable cover for you to hide behind. (This can be disregarded if the person has already fired their weapon in your direction)
- Drive extremely recklessly without a justifiable reason.
 
1.04 - Spam
You shall not spam the OOC Chat, Twitter or Reports.
 
1.05 - Powergaming
You shall not powergame.
 
1.06 - Metagaming
You shall not Metagame; This includes but is not limited to:
- the use of third-party software such as discord for communications.
- using information from one of your other characters.
 
1.07 - Modified Game files
You shall not modify your game files to gain an unfair advantage.
 
1.08 - Exploiting
You shall refrain from exploiting and shall report any exploit found.
 
1.09 - Combat Logging
You shall not log off during an active roleplay scenario.
 
1.10 - Combat Storing
You shall not store your items during an active incident such as a shootout/mugging to preserve your items knowing there is a high chance of losing your items.
 
1.11 - Excessive Negativity
You shall not commit any type of negative behavior/hate speech, this includes but is not limited to:
- Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Sexism.
- Targeting a specific player or group of players without valid reason.
- Targeting new players.
- Killing paramedics or firefighters without a justifiable reason. (Read 2.4 for more information)
This also counts for outside of the game; whether this is a private discord chat, through DM’s or whichever.
 
1.12 - Influencing Rule Breaks
You shall not force or encourage another member of the community to break a rule.
 
1.13 - Real Money/Market Trading (RMT)
You shall not trade real-life money for in-game benefits.
 
1.14 - Staying In Character
You shall stay in-character; even when you disagree with someone.
You can report the problem through the F2 report menu.
 
1.15 - Language
All players are required to be able to speak English, and should do so while communicating with players outside of their group. Roleplaying as a speaker of another language is allowed, however please consider that when speaking to other players they may only understand English.
 
1.16 - Stuffing
Transferring any resource such as money or items between your own characters is not allowed by any method.
 
1.17 - Mugging
When mugging it needs to happen in a realistic manner and cannot be in a public area.
The mugging of government employees is not allowed.
 
1.18 - Hostages
Taking hostages must be roleplayed to a very high quality. Aim to make the scenario enjoyable for everyone. 
You cannot take government employees hostage.

1.19 - New Life Rule (NLR)
You shall value the New Life Rule meaning you forget certain activities prior to your character’s death.
 
1.20 - Character Names
Please use a valid first and last name combo. Do not use names of well known characters, celebrities, political figures, criminals, terrorists et cetera.
 
1.21 - Character Roles
If you wish to roleplay as a lawyer, it may not be realistic that you will repair your car at the roadside or shoot and kill a man for scratching your vehicle. Pick a style that suits your character's backstory and role and stick to it. You have multiple character slots for a reason!
 
1.22 - Perma-Death
Your character can permanently die (be deleted) as a result of an RP scenario provided you and the other parties involved agree to it. Such a request would need to be directed to staff, thereafter the staff team may or may not comply with this request, depending on the situation.
 
1.23 - Group Names
Business, gang and group names must be realistic. Unrealistic or legally-problematic names such as but not limited to: 'gang gang', 'Gucci gang', et cetera. will not be accepted and the application will be removed without notice.

1.24 - Growth
Your character should have long term growth. Your character should not join our server on creation and instantly be a millionaire crime lord. All characters should grow into their roles – initially starting off with few resources and knowledge of the city.
 
1.25 - Executing
Executing another player must be realistic and be carried out with high quality roleplay. For Example: cutting someone's throat requires a bladed weapon.

 
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE RULES
 
2.1 - Equipment
Government employees may not sell their equipment, or willingly give their equipment away. If there is a strong roleplay cause, exchanges can be made. 
 
2.2 - Job abuse
You must not abuse your job as a government employee to help out your friends. (For example: Removing charges of your gang members without a sufficient roleplay reason)
 
2.3 - Bribes
Police officers are allowed to take a bribe; if it’s found out they can be punished by their chief.
 
2.4 - Justified Killing
Medics and firefighters can be killed with strong roleplay justification; e.g. for when they refuse certain reasonable actions while their life is in danger.
 
2.5 - Risking Life
Medics and Firefighters shall not risk their own life trying to help others during an active scenario such as an active shootout.
TERMINOLOGY AND CLARIFICATION
 
Government Employees
The following jobs are listed as government jobs; Police, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), firefighters, Department of Justice (DoJ), Taxi Driver.

Item Placement List (IPL)
An IPL is a location you get teleported to that is private and mostly located far under or above the map and is not visible by other players that are not in the IPL themselves.
For example you can be teleported by going to your house and pressing E and then load into the house.

Multiple Level Object (MLO)
an MLO is a type of map edit, This is different from an IPL as you do not have to load into these but can simply just walk through the door to get inside.
Another difference is that MLO's may have see through windows making it so players can look from the outside in, and from the inside out.

Powergaming
Forcing people to do actions which they rather not partake in; Hostage taking does not fall under this.
Forcing a scenario where no matter the Roleplay of the other party you will win.

Metagaming
Using any information which your character should have no knowledge of, this can be for example Through third-party things like livestreams, discord chats or clips from the city.

Valuing your life
The following situations are considered driving Extremely recklessly: 
- Taking unnecessary Jumps causing risk to your life.
- Intentionally crashing into objects such as buildings, vehicles, Environmental hazards like gas stations.
 
New Life Rule (NLR)
A new life starts when:
- Your character has been killed by a player. 
- Your character has died in a RP situation. 
- Your character has died as a result of vehicle accident.
 
A new life does not start when: 
- Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RVDM.
- Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM.
- Your characted has died due to a bug.
- You are downed.
- You disconnect. (end of session) 
 
When you respawn: 
- Your character does not remember any previous roleplay situations leading to and including that event. 
- Your character does not remember any previous enemies. (your killer/robber et cetera.) 
- Your character cannot return to the location of death or be involved in the same situation. 
 
When you are revived/downed:
- You may not actively enter or continue any combat situation for the next 15 minutes.
- Your character retains all knowledge of the time before they are downed.
- Whilst downed you may not gather any new information to use once revived.
- While you are downed you may not divulge tactical information to anyone.(you are unconscious meaning you can not communicate but only groan)
Please be mindful that you are heavily injured and should act accordingly, you were downed and have lost the fight, you will not recover instantly.
You are in medical custody until an EMS Medic releases you.

Rules will be revised periodically; If you have any suggestions you could let the staff know through the discord ticket system.
